Experienced Advocacy
If you are charged with a criminal offense, you want an experienced advocate who never forgets that the state bears the burden of proof and must be held to that standard. You want a representative determined to protect your rights to remain silent and confront witnesses, and to shield you from unlawful searches and seizures.
I am a former prosecutor who has handled countless cases involving DWI, domestic violence, property crimes, and physical assaults. As an Assistant District Attorney, I developed sharply honed courtroom skills at selecting juries, examining witnesses, arguing pretrial matters, and negotiating plea deals.

I worked as an ADA at the Wake County District Attorney's office for six years. I managed and oversaw the prosecution of all varieties of criminal cases in district and superior court and distinguished myself as a dogged prosecutor and skilled trial attorney.
In addition to my law career, I served the community for many years as a reporter covering state government, voting and elections, and other important issues for North Carolina Public Radio - WUNC. I will bring my proven skills as a communicator to bear in my work representing your interests and protecting your constitutional rights.
